i was on the Caribbean Princess a October of '04. it is a beautiful ship. they show movies on the big jumbotron screen above the pool. they also showed the Monday Night Football game on it.

i was on a cruise back in Feb of this year and i sneaked vodka on board by pouring the vodka into water bottles that i had already used then glued the ring back onto the caps to make them look like they were never opened.

Put alcohol in your checked luggage, not your carry-on. We have brought as much as 7 bottles of wine with us on a cruise. We wrapped it in bubble wrap and put it in the middle of our bags(bottles don't move around this way). If a ship has over 2,000 passengers, that means at least 4,000 bags they have to load on a ship in a few hours. So go ahead and bring some, but don't over do it an if it is wine, don't forget the corkscrew. Princess says you can bring a bottle or two for special occasions. I have never brought anything other then wine, but like I said, how can they check 4,000 bags for alcohol. Be discreet and you will be fine.

Bring as much as you can with you and when you get caught and they leave you on the dock........look at all the money you saved................

you can try to sneek it on...and if you stop at an island you can try to sneak it on, they do check so make sure you go through with a large amount of people and maybe you will get lucky...otherwise they will take it from you and hold it until the last day of the cruise for you.

You can not bring Alcohol with you on the ship. You have to use their alcohol. When I went on a cruise a few weeks ago they made sure when we first got there that we did not have any alcohol with us. When you go into the Duty free shop on the ship and on the islands and buy alcohol, what they do is they take it and hold it for you until the night before you leave to go home. They do not allow you to have it with you.

Best bet just drink what they serve on the ship.

Don't listen to the people that say you can't bring alcohol on the ship. those are the same people that don't jay walk during Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

Anyway, I have been on the Carribean princess three times and took alcohol each time. Put it in your luggage wrapped in a pashmina or something, or shoe boxes. I used to run singles groups and every single person just about brought alcohol with them and nothing happened. It will save you some serious cash. the worst thing that will happen is that they take it from you, but I have never seen anything like taht happen in all of my cruising experience.
