Carnival Cruise Lines - what are some fun things to do for an 18 yr old girl?

Lol YAY LAME QUESTION, and I forgot to mention... I have to drag my 14 year old sister around with me... and I don't want to have to hang out with a bunch of 14 year olds the whole time... Any suggestions? [I've been on another Carnival cruise but it was with a friend of mine, and this time I'm going with my family...argh]

Great question! I recently went on a cruise with my friends family; among them was a 14 year old and a few 18 - 19 year olds.

Ok, for your sister, tell your parents to put her in Camp Carnival. TRUST ME, she'll have a blast there! Chances are, you won't see her very much because she'd rather chill with her new friends (win-win situation!!!). The ice breaker is really important and just have her get involved, she won't regret it. :)

And for you... The great thing about this cruiseline is that most of their activities are aimed toward a younger crowd! If you're single, check out their singles parties, usually held at some bar (you should be ok to enter). Speaking of bars, check to see if you can drink onboard! Depending on location, you may be able to drink; all you need is your parents' permission during the check in process I think. I believe ships in Europe and South America will allow this, but call Carnival to confirm this and to see if you can do it at your destination.

So check out the singles parties, you may meet some people there to chill with. Take the classes like the one where they teach you how to turn your towel into animals... Just get involved, you'll meet people and that should take care of the family blah-ness.

Oooh and don't forget to check the spa. I got a facial and massage on Carnival. The facial was fantastic but the massage... well I can't give you details because I unfortunately passed out within 10 minutes. It was sooo relaxing that I stumbled out of there with my body feeling like spaghetti noodles and collapsed on a lounger where I napped in the sun. HOLLA!

Hope this helps!!!

Go to the movies, see a show, arcades, go in the pool/down the slide, they have special games and activities for teens, go shopping, they have game rooms. Dont dwell on having to drag your sister around--think positive that you are lucky enough to go on a cruise. Who knows, you just might happen to run into a cute guy if you show you are having fun.
