Carnival Victory or Royal Caribbean Adventures of Sea?

I am 25 years old and my fiance and I plan on getting married on a cruise ship this summer. We are looking into going on a Southern Caribbean Cruise and are trying to decide between the Carnival Victory and the Royal Caribbean Adventures of the Seas. Many friends said that the Carnival is great. However, there are some that think that Carnival is not very good. I am wondering what some of you think? There will be friends of ours that like to have a good time as well as middle aged family members. We can get a much better deal going with Carnival but I want to make sure we all have a good time and that the food is good. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

we did 10 cruises with Carnival before we decided to try Royal Caribbean. We paid a little more, but oh my goodness what a difference. We are sold on Royal for life. Newer ships, much nicer, and much bigger. We never felt crowded, the food was much better, the staff is much nicer, and 10 times the activities!

Well, if you guys want to party, I would recommend Carnival. Now if you want better food and service, go to Royal Caribbean, although Royal Caribbean has more family styled entertainment.

I think its a matter of personal preference. I've cruised with both lines and prefer royal caribbean. I don't care for carnival because of the experience I had with them. I found them to be boring and lacking in activities. Also the food was horrible as was the customer service. For me royal caribbean was the opposite. They had multiple activities to suit various age ranges. The food was very good as was the customer service. I cruised on the adventure a few months ago and it's a beautiful ship. They have an ice skating rink with children and adult lessons, a kids club with arcade, johnny rockets, a rock climbing wall. They also offer salsa lessons, scrap booking classes and wine tastings, among other things. I participated in a few of these activities myself and it was really fun. In the end though its your wedding and you should go with whatever cruise suits your taste and needs.

It depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a good party wedding, Carnival is your ship. Royal Caribbean is a little better. I was married on Carnival and it was nice. But I was younger at that time. If you are looking for a more upscale cruise, try some other cruise ships.

All of those cruise lines offer unique experiences. I went to SpinCityTravel.com and looked under the Cruise tab. They let you compare all the cruise lines by price, amenities and even have customer feedback. You can book the cruise right there. Carnival is generally known as a more bargain cruise, but still has worthwhile activities for all ages.
