Carnival compared to other cruise lines? |
i have been on one cruise my whole life (im 16). i live in texas, so the only cruises come out of Galveston, i went on a smaller, older carnival cruise called the celebration which is no longer in service, i had the best time of my life, the staff was great, food was great, the ship was kinda small and old but that didn't bother me to much, it was the best vacation i ever had.. now if i talk about it with my friends, that i went on a cruise with carnival, and the ones who have been on many cruises, will burst out,, "pfff carnival sucks, that's for poor people, a cruise that people try for there first cruise and never Again, Royal Caribbean is like another world compared to carnival" is carnival really that bad compared to others? my family is wanting to go on another cruise, the carnival Ecstasy, because it is the only thing we can afford at the moment, should i be worried? |

Just because it's cheaper doesn't mean it's for poor people. Your "cruise going" friends are jerks.
But, anyway, I absolutely loved the Carnival cruise I went on. The pool was cold and Ensenada sucks, but everything about the boat was amazing. Plus, Catalina island is fantastic. The food was good on board, the boat was stable, the entertainment was great, and they had an awesome group for younger passengers where you got free ice cream, played games, sung karaoke for drunk people, and stayed up all night. |

Carnival definitely does not suck. I have gone on 2 Carnival Cruises. The staff is great, better than most cruise lines...especially RC, the food is great, the ports of call are great, the ships are great, and the list goes on and on. There is no need to be worried what so ever. Go into the cruise ready for a good time, and that is exactly what you will get. Don't listen to your friends...who cares what they think. If you have a great time... that is all that matters. There are things about Carnival that are better than any other cruise line. Go on the cruise... don't let your friends talk you out of a vacation that will be GREAT. Carnival Cruises are sooo much fun... just like you said! |

no way! Carnival is great! I have been on many cruises on all different lines...and what starts to happen is you compare every little thing on each ship to all of the others...but don't listen to your friends! You will have a great time on this ship!

I have never been on Carnival and never will. If you remember back the last 10 years...there has been outbreaks of food poisoning, and air borne sicknesses on their boats, and the food is not 4 star. Access royal caribbean.com and look at their prices directly from their site...I booked both my cruises through them directly(I only started cruising 6 months ago and have been on 2 already). Their food is outstanding...I'm talking as good as one of the best restaurants in your home town...how does black angus steak on the menu every night sound? with lots of fish and seafood too....all gourmet excellent food. Entertainment. outstanding- as good as NYC and I go there alot...don't regret saving a couple bucks...go Royal and you won't regret it. |
