I absolutely love Carnival. I have never been disappointed with my cabin, the staff or my trip. It's all subjective though. Depending on what you like to do. Carnival is a party ship. If you're not into partying, stay away from Carnival.

carnival....wouldn't suggest it. I would do royal. Carnival is nothing to write home about!

INMO, the mass market lines are pretty much similar in quality. CCL has a bit more of the cheesy type entertainment such as hairy chest contest and singing / dancing waiters. Other than a few things like that, they are all pretty much the same. I will say though that on CCL, the staterooms on all the ships including the older ones are generally larger than on the other cruise lines esp the older ships. Also, they have waterslides.

Carnival is known as the Fun Ships. They do fun things all the time. Towel animals on your bed each evening, dances in the formal dining room, Fun Ship Freddy, They have a water slide, Pizza and soft serve available 24/7. No cruise line is bad, but I would say Carnival is probably the most fun for all ages.

I've been on many cruises, and Im sure that I will never go on Carnival. Only because I was on a RCCL ship once, and we were docked next to a Carnival one, and I saw one of the workers on the carnival ship sweeping garbage off the deck into the ocean. Never before have I seen anyone on any other ships doing this.

Carnival is the PARTY cruise line. It's just one giant drunkfest and a terrific time for single men and women, bars are EVERYWHERE and a couple of coconuts later, you're ready to participate in the hairy-chest competition! And even at anchor, the ship was moving up and down pretty heavilly (if you know what I mean), those young people have ALOT of energy.
