i was on carnival glory and had an awesome time. lots of food, drinks and entertainment.
the first answerer is some what correct in her port response. the ships get to port by 8-9am and want you back on board by 4pm. me and my friends learned our lesson the first time. plan from the night before, what you want to do when you get off. wake up early, shower, eat and be the first ones of the ship.
have fun |

I have been on 7 different Carnival ships, most recently was Conquest. I have enjoyed them all. Typically Carnival is more laid back than other lines and has more of a young-party like atmosphere |

I've loved every Carnival ship I've been on. I would recommend just about any of them. Just keep in mind that the older ones might appear to be more worn than the newer ones. So if you think that might bother you, try a newer (typically bigger) ship.
Carnival ships I've been on: Ecstasy, Victory, Fantasy, Triumph, Sensation, Destiny, Glory, Legend, and soon Miracle. |

was on the Ecstasy out of Galveston, Texas
I liked our trip. I would not want to go every year but I enjoyed it. My hubby didn't like the fact that you do not stay at ports very long. We had to be back at the ship by 4pm at both stops so I felt kinda rushed at both ports because you have to get back so early. The booze is very expensive. The food is okay. I didn't think it was great. It was fun but you have to realize you are on the ship mostly (not at ports) so you have to keep yourself entertained. |

I have been on many ships thru Carnival (Fascination, Elation, Triumph, Victory, Pride and the Legend) My favorites have been the Pride and the Fascination, which I have been on a few times. What I like best about Carnival is you will receive the same service and food on a 3 day cruise and you do on a 7 day cruise. Which ever you pick I am sure you will have an awesome time |

We did a 4 night cruise on the Fantasy which was wonderful for our first cruise. A year and a half later we did the 7 night Glory Eastern Caribbean cruise with a balcony room. They are the two most wonderful vacations I have ever taken. I was so impressed by the size of the rooms, staff, food (and I am the world's pickiest eater) and being on the balcony was the absolute best! I love Carnival! |

Been on the Victory, when it was new - my first cruise and the one that led to my being "hooked" on cruising.
Paradise, when it was still a non-smoking ship - that was very nice, not having the smoke everywhere.
And Miracle, which is WAY over-the-top in decor, especially the dining room [almost unbearable!].
They were all fun! |

We recently went on the Carnival Conquest out of Galveston on May 25th. I had an amazing time but my husband thought the cruise was just OK. I took advantage of everything they had to offer like art auctions, bingo games, trivia, scrapbooking to spa packages just to name a few things. The food was great and the service was unmatched. My husband just wanted to sleep late and eat so you can do that too. The time on the excursions did feel rushed but we were able to do everything we wanted. There were people from every age group but I did notice that there were a lot of kids on their graduation trip. |

I would try to go on one of the newer Carnival ships. My husband and I went on the Holiday, which is an older ship. It was good, but it just wasn't up to the standards of the newer ships that I have been on with other cruise lines. |
