Swam out to a platform in the gulf once had port police coastgaurd and the sheriff,s office lookin for me took me 7 to 8 hours and got me a new one reamed when I got back to shore so yea.

Depends on how far out you are and if you are in shark infested waters.
Most peole on boats have a special bag premade in case the ship goes down. But if you don't, here's a tip you can use:

DON'T DRINK THE SEA WATER. Salt water will only dehydrate you more.

Sure ... it's harder to swim if there are large waves but when you must you can swim. In a lot of cases, however, it would be best to just float there and wait for help. Tiring yourself out can doom you.

I used to be able to swim for a mile and then float. Then another mile. But now I would just drown.

Yes, I know how to swim, and I could swim a good distance if needed, but it all depends on how far I am from land.

I can swim my a** off!! If I were to ever be stranded in the sea, I know I would get to shore. I do about 30-40 laps in my pool EVERYDAY before I go to work. I would definitely survive.

all you would need to be able to do is keep your head up, or float. most likely you wont make it if you dont find something to get onto soon after your in the water. you would tire quickly

its not a matter of whether you can swim or not. you will die of overexposure and hypothermia.its now a choice of dying due to drowning or hypothermia

i would say lay on ur back and drift if u can and arent sure how close to land u r, or in what direction. float till u see a ship or something. or...just die...whatever floats ur boat....or sinks ur ship...whatever.

depends on how far out you are and how fast the waves are coming in.. definitly wouldn't want to be put in that situation....

use a life jacket and yo'll never go under and you can flot back to land.........can swim but wont go in sea without a life jacket couse imm not that stupid
