I just returned from a cruise last Thursday and I asked our waiter this question. He said they work for six months then get a month off. They are then sent where needed. Our waiter said he has worked with Carnival seven years and has never returned to the same ship. Sorry.

if it was meant to be, you will see him again. They are getting paid to be really nice and hope to get a really nice pay from you. It will be hard to find him and when you go again, all you will think about is him and finding him. I hope, for your sake, you do so you do ruin your whole trip being dissapointed. Try contacting Carnival and explain your situation....good luck.

it depends. he will more than likely be on the same ship, but the workers work for about 9 months straight and take a 3 month respite and return to their home countries. if you want to see him again, your best bet would be to go at the same time next year.
