Cheap Cruise? |
I'm looking to book a cheap cruise for a couple. Prefer to leave from somewhere in Florida and travel to the bahamas or caymen islands or mexico (pretty flexible with the destination). We want to go on a 4-5 night cruise in the middle of june. Anyone have a good suggestions for a cheap place to book? |

Try a travel agent first. they help you decide what cruise, cruise line, dates, and cabin that suit your requirements. (some even offer incentives like on board credit or upgrades to get your business)
Once you have a quote, you can go on-line and see if you can find a better price. You can trawl the different cruise web-sites and the cruise line web sites. If you can't get a better deal, go back to the travel agent and book the cruise. You have plenty of options to get a good deal, but if you're trying for June, your options may be limited, there's not much left.

I would go to http://www.vacationsnbeyond.com and request a quote from them, there not only give you a good price but have a very good service, I dont use anyone else. I seen to many people calling themselves travel agents and have no clue. |

In Florida main cruises depart from Tampa, Port Canaveral, Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale) and Miami.
Going to the Bahamas is easiest for a 3-4 day cruise. Other destinations are Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Cancun can be done in a 7 day cruise.
Try cruisecomplete.com. It's pretty helpful. You will find major differences in price between cruise ship companies too. Carnaval is good and not to spendy compared to others. |

June? If you insist on going in June, let me warn you...all the schools and colleges have let out for the summer. The cruises will be noisy, crowded and the shorter (4-, 5-day) will be cheaper. Carnival will be the cheapest but they have a new rule that at least one person in each cabin must be 25 years old; many travel agents are turning away 18-24 year old newlyweds because of this ruling. Also, you will likely be stuck with a fuel consumption fee; many cruise lines are doing this (so far $5 per guest per day; before gratuities).
We always look at vacationstogo dot com because it is located 5 hours away from us and they send their info packets through overnight delivery. (I'm a bit off your question; hope this helps anyway.) |
