Comparisons for Princess, Carnival and Celebrity cruises.? |
What are the differences between these cruise lines? Large and small - all details are helpful. I am planning a Caribbean cruise sometime Oct-Dec. We are in our 20's with no kids. Don't particularly like small children.
Which one did you like best? Good ship night life, good food, fun ports.. etc. Was there another line you loved? Pros and cons.

hey, i'm 23 and i love celebrity! i also love royal caribbean. i think carnival sucks, and princess is not bad but its more older people. i guess if you dont like kids at all then princess would be good but there are more fun things to do on royal caribbean. celebrity has the best food they are a little more upscale then royal caribbean.
do you know where you want to go- eastern or western caribbean? i really like barbados & st.thomas, those are my fave. bahamas & aruba are pretty boring since they have become sooo touristy and americanized. |

I have been on royal carribean, holland american and celebrity. By far I like celebrity the best. home made ice cream bar that you don't pay for. Great food and service. Great floor shows and lounge entertainment. Only difference my wife and I are in our 50's. There were no children to speak of. For princess and carnival go to cruisecritic.com for reviews of the cruise lines and individual ships. |

I have sailed on Princess 9 times and love it. I would compare it equally with Celebrity, but perhaps with a little older crowd. There food is absolutely wonderful, especially the chefs dinner. On Princess you would see some kids, but not tons, quite a few 20 to 30 year olds and lots of over 50 year olds.The late nigh parties are mostly for your age group as us older folks tend to go to bed around 10 pm. Princess has great disco's on their ships, like the skywalker lounge. They play survivor games, amazing race games, and scavenger hunts to name just a few. I think if you picked Princess or Celebrity, you would be happy with either. But a lot of people sure like Carnival, especially kids and teens. |
