I have found that CruiseCritic.com provides a good source of reviews from common people. I have included a link to the member reviews of the Adventure of the Seas below.

Having said that, we just had a client take a cruise on the Adventure of the Seas and he was tickled pink. Him and his family were on the Christmas Cruise and he said the ship was fabulous and that they had a great time. He plans on doing it again.

TINKERTOY ..... the 1 & only
We just went on the Adventure of the Seas this past May for a cruise out of Puerto Rico to Aruba, Curacao, St Thomas and St Maarten. The ship is very nice and so is the food, service and entertainment.

The ship has some great activities including an inline skating track, an ice skating rink, a full sided basketball/tennis court, a rock climbing wall, a great gymnasium, and very nice cabins. It has a promenade with shops and eating places and there is a place on the promenade where you can get food 24/7. There will be an ice show which is like the ice capades which is fabulous. Tickets to it are free and it will be held twice during the week long cruise.

The ship has a pool on the pool deck along with 4 hot tubs and also a solarium with a covered pool and hot tub area that is for adults only. It has a nice night club and several other lounges with music and/or places to relax.

We thoroughly enjoyed the ship and the cruise.

We have been on the Adventure of the Seas (the Caribbean) and the Splendour of the Seas ( the Mediterranean) in 2001. A few years ago, I admit, but the ships do get refitted quite regularly.
Although large ships with 2000+ passengers they do not seem to be crowded and there is plenty of things to do while on-board. The public areas are quite spacious and nicely decorated.
The food was good and the service was as you would expect from Royal Caribbean. We definitely have no complaints about the ship or crew.
The tours, although expensive, were enjoyable and interesting and we were well looked after where ever we were.
As I say it was a few years ago but they were both nice ships, I am sure you will have a fantastic trip.

i don't know. if you like being treated like cattle, a big cruise line is the way to go. but i loved wind jammer cruises: 25 guests, 40 staff, no lines no, crowds, and you never have to get out of your swim suit.
