Talk to people and go to the teen program. If you get bored walk around explore the ship, hang with your family.

one of the best things about cruises you really don't have to be around the people you came with

Have fun

Cruises are amazing! You'll have a blast! But be sure to do the activities on the ship. They'll have a day to day schedule, and if you get involved you'll make tons of friends and it will make the trip even more fun! Be sure to go to the late night shows, midnight buffet, and the games they have available!

Have fun!

Btw, be careful! Not everyone is nice! Don't ever go into someones cabin, just stay on the lookout!

You will have a great time! If you enjoy soft drinks, invest in a soda card. Be sure go to the teen mixers and activities, where you are sure to meet some neat folks to hang out with at the pool and in the teen club in the evenings. Go see some shows and movies. Learn shuffleboard -- it's more interesting that you might expect! Spend some time in a deck chair just watching the water go by. In the dining room, try something you've never tried before (especially the chilled soups!). Don't skip dessert, and be sure go to the midnight buffet at least once. Take comfortable shoes -- a pair of flipflops for the pool, sneakers for all the walking you'll be doing, and something flat and kind of dressy for evenings. You'll want a shirt and shorts or coverup and shorts for the pool so you can get lunch or a burger or ice cream, or a soda from the bar near the pool without changing. When you're on shore, look at everything you can, and bring home a souvenir from each port --- even a couple of postcards or a t-shirt or key chain. If you're a girl, get a bottle of the nail polish from Del Sol, which changes colors in the sun! If you're a guy, a shirt or visor from Del Sol will be neat! You don't have to spend a lot of money, but you'll want some cash for on shore.

Save the daily programs for a ship souvenir and keep them in a folder when you get home. Lots of people ask the waiter the first night for menu's, and they're interesting for later, too. (Who knows -- you might get a really neat speech or report for school from your trip!)

Take lots of pictures, and don't forget your sunglasses.

A few things you should NOT do -- assuming you are a girl, absolutely stay out of cabins that are not yours and don't invite any boys or men, whether crew or passengers, into yours. And stay out of the casino -- they'll just throw you out anyway. You needn't bother trying to buy a drink, because they are very, very careful about not serving minors. Drugs can get you thrown off the ship.

Mainly, have fun! Your first cruise is a great adventure!
