Cruise excursion is sold out...? |
Hello, My friends and I are going on a cruise in a few weeks and one of the excursions we really wanted to do isn't showing up on the website anymore, so I am figuring that it is sold out. It was Parasailing in the Cayman Islands (Carnival)
I heard from a friend that there are some places on the islands that aren't associated with the cruise ships that offer the same services. How likely are we to find another place that does Parasailing once we get on the island? |

It is very likely that you will find another place to do parasailing. A couple of things to do. Try to book the excursion as soon as you can when you get on the boat. Sometimes they have slots available. If that doesn't work, go to the desk right before the excursion starts. Sometimes someone cancels and you get the spot.
The only 2 cautions with this type of excursion is take a look at the safety record for any excursions. Do some research for alternate companies and look them up for complaints. Also, if your excursion that is not sponsored by the cruise line runs over...the boat will leave without you. |

I have heard that some slots are held for people who do not have internet access. Go to the excursion counter as soon as possible when you board the ship and check.
You can always get an excursion off the ship usually at a lower cost. Just be sure to get back to the ship on time. They wait if their excursions are late but will not wait on others.

It's pretty likely. Parasailing in places like this is pretty big, a lot of people want to do it. What you can do is ask taxi drivers or costumer service on the boat to tell you of any other places. Also when you go on the cruise, ask them about the excursion, it might not be sold out or someone might have backed out of it, it's always good to check. |
