If you go on a cruise to Australia via Princess Cruise lines for about 2 weeks (14 days I think), how many bags should you bring on board? TY.
** I was looking up the cruise online it goes out of Sydney and ends in Brisbane I think....I forget the rest of the details. I'm from the U.S. Additional Details * yes, we're thinking 2 days before cruise in Sydney and 1 day after in Brisbane - hotel wise....
I have cruised with Princess from Australia to Los Angeles(29 days) and each of us brought two bags, plus one carry-on. The trick for a two week cruise is to bring some of those small boxes of laundry soap and do some laundry on the ship every 5 to 7 days or have it cleaned by the staff on the ship. Also remember to weight your luggage and keep it under 50 pounds each bag or the airlines will charge you extra. Your closet in your cabin can fit 4 bags easily, but any more then that makes it too crowded. One more thing, your flight to Sydney isn't as bad as what you may think, especially if your fly Quantas. We slept for at least 6 hours on the flight. Have a great cruise.

I am a heavy packer and with my family of 3 we bring 11 pieces this is small bags included. We live near the port so airline regulations are not an issue. One nice thing about Princess is some ships I don't know if all ships have washers and dryers on board for your use. Have a great time it sounds wonderful.

There is no strict limit on baggage aboard a Princess Ship. However if you are flying to your port the airlines have very strict limits on size and weight of your luggage. My husband and I did a 10 day last spring with 2 days hotel before and one day after and each took one 26" bag and a 22" carry on. The 26" bags had to be under 50 pounds. But I'd check with the website for your specific airline because you're doing international. Have a great cruise!

i too am going on a 14 day cruise. i will pack the following way. 7 shorts and 7 shirts. wash them between the cruise or when the ship is out to sea. for nights i am packing 7 items also with 2 formal wear . i will also pack items to use after dinner so that i can use them again. i don't care if i wear the same thing the following week i'm on vacation. other than that the suggestion to take one bag per person is the best, try packing in those storage bags that take the air out and them become very small. have fun

Well, I've done two-week trips with just a carry-on, but that was extreme. And I made full use of the dry cleaning facilities onboard. =)
It can definitely be done in comfort and style with just one large rolling suitcase.
That said, shoes and gowns will make a big difference. If you want black, camel AND red heels, PLUS gym shoes, walking shoes AND several sets of sandals you'll need a whole extra bag. (I usually just bring black heels, flip-flops and walking shoes.)
