It's kinda late to be booking a cruise for this Christmas, so I would assume you are talking about one in 2009. If so, my advice would be to choose a cruise out of a port that is close to you so you don't have to pay airfare to the port of departure and hotel for the day before/after. I know Carnival has departure ports out of Florida (Orlando, Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Jacksonville...), California (Long Beach, San Diego), Baltimore MD, etc. Go to the web to check it out (www.carnival.com). Anyway, then you can go from there with how many days, ports of call, type of cabin, etc.

I love cruising. I think its a great way to spend a vacation and it is a great value.

Good Luck.

Xmas? Youre early! lol. Try to book through cruises webpage were you find all hot price and best offer. Have youre credit card ready for best and fastest booking and remember that you cant book cruises later than 3 days (I think or minimum 24 hours) before departure due to rules.

Oh and ask youre parents if theyre got passport or simular (needed on most cruises and flights).

Due to current financial crise youll find great price on most (if not all) major cruise lines this winter. Johan.

I'm assuming the cruise is a Xmas gift and that the dates that you are looking for aren't exactly intended for Xmas. The best site you can find to shop for a cruise is http://www.vacationstogo.com/ticker.cfm

You just put in your criteria and it gives you all the cruises that fit. It's a fantastic tool. Even if I don't book through them, I always do my research on this site. It's the easiest way to find the cruise that fits your criteria and price.

do a quick search on line or visit the cruise line web sites to see what is available.
Once you find a sailing then you can shop your price around.

Why don't you go to a travel agent and get information on cruise lines. You can even do it on the net...then again you can call the cruise lines. You should have an idea of where you want them to cruise from and too.

Uh, I hope you mean next Christmas because it is pretty much too late to book a cruise for this Christmas unless your very, very lucky. Holiday cruises fill up early. Now for a good reasonable priced cruise, try Princess. They have some incredible prices right now. Plus they are top notch that any parent would love there ships, service, and food.

I am a Travel Agent. The other posters are correct, this Christmas is very short notice; almost if not impossible. But, we have some super deals right now, for example:

Carnival Cruise Lines, Gift Certificates on sale now through Dec 31, starting at $418 for two persons, for 3 and 4 day cruises. Longer cruises and upgrades are available at:

http://www.travelconnectionsllc.com/

Wait for the active window to scroll to the Carnival Feature, put your pointer on the ship, than click < Learn More >

That should take you to this link:
https://sailathon.ytbtravel.com/default.aspx?ytbid=154944

Read and understand the fine print. I'll help you with that part.

Generally the gift certificates are valid for 18 months. That way you can give them the gift certificates for this Christmas and they can travel later at a more leisure pace and reasonable schedule.
