Congrats on your first cruise. You might want to check out the "Introduction to Cruising" and the "Know Before you Go" in the Savvy Guide:
http://www.cruisesavvy.com/savvyguide
They cover stuff like what a typical day is like onboard, how to avoid getting sea sick, what to pack, etc.
Also, you can read about other people's cruises here:

Hope you have a great trip! |

Its you have to book your trip, if you need a flight please book it ahead of time to save some cash on your airfare, I you need a pre cruise hotel select a hotel near the cruise port. Pack your clothes light, remember to pack light so that you will not worry about heavy suite cases. Ready your travel documents. On your travel date on your small hand bag store all your travel documents just like the tickets or passports. So that it will be easy for you to get you travel documents if they will ask for it. Also make it sure that the card that you will bring have enough balance so that if you will need to purchase something on the ship or on your trip all your transaction will go.
At the night before your trip have enough sleep so that you will the entire trip.
Happy Birthday!!! |

we're going on our 4th cruise this summer. it is over my birthday too. i am really excited. I went on my first when I was ten and I am 13 right now. Just remember to have fun, and just in case, tkae these sea sick wristbands. You probably won't get sea sick, but be prepared. Also, wash your hands everywhere. i got the Norwalk Virus on our second cruise and it was not fun at all. You'll have a great time though. |

Well a cruise is a great getaway. To prepare yourself just pack your clothes according to where you are going ( shorts, jeans etc for the weather) make sure you have you swim suit, sandals, sneakers etc a camera, toothbrush etc. A cruise can be very exciting. The most important thing is to take your common sense. If you would not do something at home don't do there. Other wise just relax & ENJOY. |

Three things come immediately to mind:
Don't bring too much "stuff," especially shoes -- they're heavy and take up a lot of room! I've found I can do with three pairs: sneakers, neutral-colored flats or sandals, and one pair of heels.
Pack separates that you can mix and match and layer according to the weather, and maybe one special outfit for formal night, if there is one. Every ship I've been on has a library, so one paperback for the plane should be enough.
FLY INTO YOUR PORT THE NIGHT BEFORE YOUR CRUISE. I can't emphasize this too much. If there's any kind of problem while you're traveling, you don't want to be on the pier watching the ship pull out. Plan ahead. It's worth the price of a room the night before to be sure you arrive in time. And, you get to spend the evening in a neat new place.
I've been on several cruises, but your first is the most special. You're gonna have such a good time! |
