You need to call them and ask, since you need to bring your own shoes. Your day uniform will most likely be white, so you need white shoes. Shoes need to be closed. (no sandals, no heels or toes showing/openings)
Depending on the cruise line, some require some heel (not to high - but they also do not want you to run around in Balerinas)
Other cruise lines just will tell you white, closed shoes.
Depending on your evening Uniform you need either black or dark blue shoes to go with that.
Stockings - normally skin color. Some cruise lines are ok with black stockings for the evening Uniform.
Besides the obvious underwear, do not pack too much.
Best is if you have a seabag (like the navy guys) - or a duffle bag, so you can fold it up and put it underneath the bed. You will not have much space in your cabin - nor in your closet.
Where does the ship go? Caribbean ? Pack your bathing suit, some T-shirt, shorts ect, light shoes and maybe one better dress for any occasion. max 2 jeans and a couple of Blouses.
I would take my own blowdryer, since the ones provided onboard are not as strong as handheld ones - and you might need to get your hair dried in a hurry at times.
Take what you need in the beginning - 1 shampoo, conditioner, shower gel. Once you get onboard, you can buy those things either in the slopchest (crew shop) or ashore.
And then whatever you can not live without - just keep in mind that space is limited.
For the shoes and stockings you certainly need to check with the cruise line. The uniform you will get when you get onboard.
