A carnival cruise would be perfect for your family. They have a fantastic children's program, and it is a very family-generated cruise line. You will have to check their site at www.carnival.com for intineraries for future cruises. Good luck!

The budget seems a but low, esp for a family of 4 - my husband and i have cruised many times before and just for the vacation was always over 1,200 for both of us - you also have to consider all your alcoholic beverages, shore excusions and tipping - however, if you book early and go on a 4 or 5 night cruise it may be more affordable...

All-inclusive cruises are available for all types of travelers. The price of all-inclusive vacation packages depends on the various offers of cruise tour operators. The offers vary widely from one cruise operator to another.

Normally, the price of all-inclusive cruise vacation packages includes a stateroom or accommodation; on-board meals and snacks; entertainments and parties; onboard activities such as basketball and table tennis; access to discos, piano bars, and lounges; and port charges, government taxes, and government fees. But, vacationers have to pay extra for shore excursions, gratuities and tips, spa treatments, casino gambling, video games, and shopping.

Considered one of the most favored travel options, all-inclusive cruise vacations offer an endless variety of entertainment for every one. By booking all-inclusive cruise vacations, one can save a considerable amount of money and time.

Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruise, Caribbean Cruises, Radisson Seven Seas, Sea Dream Yacht Club, Sea bourn, and Silver Sea are some of the cruise lines that offer all-inclusive cruise vacations. Today, there is a range of cruise tour operators to provide assistance to vacationers seeking information about all-inclusive cruise vacations. Besides, there are several websites that can give all information about all-inclusive cruise vacation packages.

Departing Galveston really limits your options, as there are not many ships sailing from that port. Also, it is late to be booking a cruise for this summer, especially given the limited options from this port. Did you mean $1000 per person or for four people? The former is very doable; the latter, not.

Contact a travel agent; AAA is good if you belong. To get an idea of what's available, try VacationsToGo.com and put in Galveston as your departure port. You could also check the various travel websites, like Travelocity, Expedia, etc.

There is a lot to know before booking a cruise, so you might want to do a little reading first. Your library should have a book on cruising - there's even a "Dummies" book, if you're so inclined - or check with your bookstore.

A cruise definitely is a fun vacation, but you've put a lot of limits on what you're looking for, so that's going to severely limit your choices.

I hope you find something just right!

Contact a local travel agent -- they sell 94% of all cruises.
If you book on-line on an automated site you will over pay.
