p&o are fabulous,we have booked to go on there new ship the VENTURA in october,we booked when the brochure came out and got 2 adults &2 kids for about £2,800 and thats with a balcony. weve been on the oceana about 3 times now and its fantastic, you wont be dissapointed, heres there official web page, where all the information you need will be here.......one top tip though if you see one here you like before you book, phone bolsover cruise club up first and get a quote off them, weve done that a few times and managed to save a good couple of hundred pounds ,ill give you both links.

P&O from Southampton are top class and have a good secure set up for children whilst keeping the cruise atmospher for the adults as you are on holiday too. I would avoid easy cruise they may be a bit boozey and noisey for you with a child, they are like 18/30 holidays afloat. Not knocking them but may not be for you. I can recommend the P&O Caneries cruise. It is about 11 days and within your price range. You see all the various islands, and most sea time is during the night . This cruise would get my vote. |

Well if you are talking about British pounds then you must want to leave from England and there are three cruise ports for you to consider. You can select from a lot of cruise options for 3K Pounds. We cruised to the Baltic countries out of Dover, England and took a train from London's Waterloo direct to Dover. We returned to Harwich and the train station was right there also. So all you need to do is go to the cruise line web sites and look for cruises leaving from either of those two, or Southampton, and select probably a 7 day cruise if you want to stay under your budget.
I recommend Royal Caribbean because they have great programs for kids on their ships. |

Ask Google "Holiday cruises" - you'll get a whole page of offers.
Personally I like P & O if you don't want to fly to join a ship and have found them really good value for money. Not sure about that early - I've been trying to find something for March and gave up.
Travel Agents have 2008 brochures in stock now, some with CDs attached showing you around the various ships.
Friends haven't been impressed with Ocean Village or Costa |

P+O from Southampton is very traditionally British with at least 1 formal night per week.
£3K would buy you a good balcony cabin. |

You can get many cruises that sail from London Tilbury docks and Southampton to the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
I would just do some web searches.
Also did you know that easy jet now do cheap budget cruises too?
If your wife likes dressing up then i think the celebrity cruises may be for you. P & O do many. I'd start by getting plenty of brochures from travel agents.
Also in the back of the Mail newspapers they often have cheap cruise prices.
Ocean village cruises are said to be very family friendly too! Do look these up.
Also check the P & O website.
And also check out Royal Carribean website.
Also in Southampton there is Ocean House that specialise in cruises all over the world so do check them out too. |

Several cruise lines operate from UK ports during the summer, but going in February/March more of a problem: most ships are in warmer waters at that time!
If you can go later, you might consider www.pageandmoy.com or www.voyagesofdiscovery.com. I've not sailed with either so can't give an opinion. |

I would suggest you go on a Mediterranean cruise. Have a stop over in Malta. The 3yo will be spoiled rotten.
Go to a travel agent and ask for some brochures.Make sure that if you book you take out insurance in case the cruise doesn't come off. ENJOY. |

There are some great cruises that go out of Southampton and London that return to those ports.
Traveling with a 3 year old I would check Norwegian Lines out of a port near London that goes to the Baltic. It is the lest expensive and best for children without a formal setting. |

sorry, but surely your question says no cruises, so why does everybody bar one give u cruise details???????
why not try scotland, the west coast is fab at that time of year, just coming in to spring green, if u want snow head in to highlands, otherwise just point the car north and see where it takes u. west coast for scenery, east coast for beaches, just like norway/sweden but better beer!!!!! |
