YES !!! We did a cruise to the Western Mediterranean last November on the Norwegian cruise ship, the Gem. Our cruise left from Barcelona, Spain and had port stops in Malaga, and Cadiz, Spain; Lisbon, Portugal; Gibraltar; Lanzarotte and Las Palmas, Canary Islands; Agadir, Morocco; and Palmeria, Spain. Our ship was supposed to make a stop in Casablanca but it was canceled due to a terror alert.

We enjoyed the cruise spots, in particular Gibralter, Agidir and the Canary Islands. We were very upset that the Casablanca stop was canceled. It was kinda like the cruise line was taking the easy way out and they didn't offer anything to compensate for missing that port.
I will never go on NCL again. If I wanted another Med cruise to get to Casablanca I would do Royal Caribbean. They also have cruises doing most of the same itinerary. |

Cruises around the Mediterranean are great you can take in the sites while still in you cabin at port or you can go into the town and explore the great lifestyles and culture of the residents. The major cruise lines that sail to the Mediterranean include:
MSC
NCL
Carnival
Royal Caribbean
Princess and
Holland America
All of these cruise lines are worth the money it costs to sail on them. The cruise lines range from casual to formal.
