Ed is right, Steiners is good and the largest.
There is also www.hardingbros.co.uk
They are very good too.
The plus side is that you can apply and do interviews online, Steiners do not allow that.
I've worked for Hardings at the shop division.
The Spa people said Hardings pays more, but I'm not sure.
What I know is that, like any other concession onboard, the destination you are taking and the nationality of the passengers is a huge influence on your commission and tips.
A fancier ship does not mean more money at all.
Good luck, it's a great life.
I've done for 10 years.
Don't even bother with the cruise lines. 90% of the ships outsource the Spas
If you want more info let me know.

Most cruise line contract thier spa staff through Steiner Leisure. You can visit Steiner on the web at www.steinerleisure.com
Thier recruiting web site is http://www.str.co.uk/home.asp
The people whom work on the ship receive very little "pay", but they do receive their tips, and this can be very good. You will be provided room and board, so your ability to save money is very good. The living conditions are quite different than what you may be used to. You will share a small cabin with another person of the same sex. It will contain bunk beds, 2 "dresser/ closets" and a small sink ( on some ships).
Bathrooms are shared by many crew cabins. You will live on the decks below the public decks. These decks also contain a dining room, laundry rooms, a crew bar, a rec room, open deck with hot tub (for crew only). One advantange being a Spa person is that you would be a "contractor" on the ship, so you are not employed by the cruise line. So on most lines you will have some extra priviledges, such as- you will be able to eat in the regular dining area (buffet, pizza, sandwiches, ect.), will be be able to frequent the different bars when off duty ( you will have to wear your ID) such as the Piano bar, the disco, ect.
You will not be able to fratenize with the guest on board the ship, but you can with your fellow staff members.
Feel free to ask me any other questions you may have. I am a Massage School Director and have several graduates that we have placed with Steiner.

Hope this helps, you can also look for more info at this great yahoo group.

It is good pay but VERY long hours. I would suggest using spell check if you apply for a job.

There are actually 2 or 3 places to contact to get employment information and possibly a job on a cruise ship. One way is to contact the concession that run the shops on the ships like the souvenir, gift and clothing shops. Another is to contact the concessions that run the spa services like massages, hair and nails. Then the third is to contact the cruise line that hires the crew and the staff. Below are links for you.

First contact the companies that handle the concessions of cruise ships:

http://www.steinerleisure.com/

and

http://www.hardingbros.co.uk/

Then you may want to contact each cruise line on their web site. Each web site has a link for jobs or employment and some have a link to the jobs they are currently hiring for..

You might want to brush up on your spelling and grammar before you apply for a job.

SO?... what is stopping you from applying to one?... they ALL have WEB SITES. and if you are so stupid and untraveled, then you can GOOGLE it... CRUSE LINES... see... and you will get all KINDS of leads... but you may have to... gasp... do something for your self rather than expecting someone to do the research and give you an answer
