Yes you do indeed. The best place to get a password or way is by contacting your local post office. Usually they will be able to tell you where to get your photo done, then they will have you brought in to fill out a lot of paper work. The average waiting time for a passport is approximately 3-6 weeks. |

I have a cruise planned Feb 8th and was told many times that I do NOT need a passport for a cruise that starts in the US and ends in the US until June 1st (I do need a birth certificate and drivers license). If you have a cruise planned after June 1st, you will need either a passport card or a passport book. For info, check this out:

No you do not need a passport for a cruise until June 1,2009. If you are going before this you need a birth certificate and an ID or drivers license. After June 1st everyone will be required to have a passport. |

OK NO. YOU DO NOT 100% NEED A PASSPORT. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A PASSPORT YOU CAN HAVE YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE, AND MOST CRUISE LINES SAY A PASSPORT IS "RECOMMENDED" NOT NECESSARY |

Yes, you do need a passport! I just got back from a Caribbean cruise and it was required to board the ship. I didn't realize one was required until 2 weeks before the ship. So, it's possible to get your passport early. Although, I would recommend getting one as soon as possible as more people will be getting passports since one will be required to get to Canada and Mexico June 1, 2009.
Good luck and have fun!!! I just had a blast on my cruise!!!!!!!! |

Yes, you will need to have a passport in order to take your cruise. I recently purchased a cruise package to the Bahamas and was informed by the travel agent that a passport was required to enter it's port, as well as most other destinations.New regulations have been passed concerning passport laws and guidelines. |

YES! They are saying no until June 1 of this year, however, I would to be on the safe side. It saves you quite some time on the ship and you will have it for 10 years until you need to renew it. I would do it just to be on the safe side. Happy cruising! |
