Do employees of cruise lines private islands live there on the provate island?

Yes they do. They usally work on contracts that last between 4 and 6 months at time in which they live and work on the island. Their homes are more like dorm style living then the fancy rooms the guests get.

I think it depends on the cruise line. I have seen a show on the discovery channel for a private island owned by either a Disney cruise line or Royal Carribean and they had a small crew that lived on the island for upkeep and then the rest of the workers would inhabit the island only when the ship was in port. I assume a few other companies must do the same to make sure the island is ready and inhabitable for their multiple trips back to the island

Yes. A lot of the cruise companies have a small private island (especially around the coast of Florida). The island workers have a work schedule that rotates them on and off the island. Like 2 months on, 2 months off.

When cruises stop at private islands most of the staff people who take care of things come from the ship's crew. BUT, most private islands also have native people who take care of the island between ships arrivals and they also have a few vendors who sell their crafts. Some of these people stay on the island most of the week and other come over to it on days when they know the ships will be docking.

The Royal Caribbean private island of Labadee is not really an island but a peninsula so the people who work and have vendor stands there actually live on another part of the island.

A lot of times some crew memebers just go to the island on a smaller boat from the main ship to get things at the island ready.... other than that i believe the crew usually lives on the ship.
