Do they check to see if you're 15-17 for the teen clubs on cruises? |
I am going on a carnival cruise in about a month. There are two teen clubs; one for 12-14 year olds and one for 15-17 years olds. I'm 14 at the moment and i really don't want to go to the club with 12-14 year olds. Has anybody who has been on the cruise know if they check to see how old you really are? Thankss!

Well I'm 14 and I've been in the 16-18 clubs many times. Haha you could be 18 and be with the 12 year olds. they don't care about the age they just wanted to have kids be with other kids their age to make friends on the ship. They definitely won't let you in just because you're not in the same age club. They really don't care. You'll be fine, I promise. I've done it so many times.
**No, you don't have to sign up for them before the cruise, they want you to do it on the first day of the cruise. When you walk onboard they will ask you if you plan on doing teen activities and they give you all of the information about signing up there.

It's my understanding that you need your room key to get in. Your age is tied to your room key, so it's likely that you are not going to be able to get in on your own. Your best bet is to have your parents see if they can get you in to the older club.

I had the same problem. I've been on 7 cruises and I've never been a fan of the kids club. A couple cruises ago I was 14 years old and I really wanted to go to the teen one. I know that you did need your room key, which has your age on it, like Andrew said. I decided not to try and just relax by the pool and do my own thing. :) |

I heard they give different age groups different color wristbands. If you get an adult to request it, you can maybe move up a level. |

i had this problem when i went on my first cruise freshman year i was 14 turning 15 (i'm 17 now) anyways. the first night yall meet they do check to make sure you're 15-17 but that rule seems to go up in the air though the week as more and more people come in. my advice is to go in there the first night, talk to your director and explain the situation and he/she might let you stay. we had two twins on my most recent cruise that we're 14 and they got to stay. good luck. |
