I never have. You barely even feel the ship move

I have more motion sickness on the smaller ships (70 tons or less).

I use the OTC motion sickness pills and start popping them just before we board. The pressure cuffs just bruised my wrists.

There is always the possibility that you will get sea sick on a cruise. However, the cruise ships now-a-days are built in such a way that unless the seas are very rough you don't even feel the ships movement. If you are concerned about it get some dramamine and take it or get those bracelets that use pressure to help with seasickness.

Otherwise enjoy your cruise!

I don't, but my husband does.

On our first cruise, we experienced 20 foot seas. Almost everyone on board stayed in their cabins.

Our family takes Bonine. It's kind of like Dramamine, used to prevent motion sickness, but without knocking anyone out.
It's pretty cheap and widely available. You need 2 per person per day.

Enjoy the trip!

The ship carries some great meds for sea sickness.
I have been on three cruises and the first day i really cannot eat much so I stay with simple foods and broths.

I don't, but my friends went on a whale watch in Boston once and they all were throwing up all over the boat. Apparently the water was really rough.

I did really bad for a night on my first cruise, and my last one during dinner I felt pretty ill a lot, but I just kept anti-nausea pills with me and it wasn't too bad. You can also buy things to put behind your ears, or bracelets that help with it.

i haven't gotten sick to the point of letting loose if you know what i mean, but i do get dizzy and i get some tension type headaches but that is all. when i feel this way i lay down in my room. i have gone lots of cruises with my hubby and so far that is all that has happened.

Yes you can get sea sick on a cruise. I have seen it, expecially when the sea gets real choppy as it sometimes does. If you get car sick, then go to your doctor and he can give you a little patch that you put behind your ear and that takes care of it. I've seen many people that wear those little patches, so it's no big deal.

I have been on about 20 cruises and never have gotten sea sick. The ships these days have stabilizers that prevent most of the rocking and the ships are so large that they cut through the water very easily without much motion. I have been in kinda rough seas and there was some motion but not any more than you would feel in a car or and airplane.

Also, ships will steer around and away from bad weather to keep rough seas to a minimum, even changing the order of port stop when necessary. If you are prone to motion sickness then you should get a patch or pills from your doctor before you go. And if you do get sick on a cruise there is a doctor who can dispense sea sickness pills.
