Do windows open on cruise ships?

I am going on a Royal Carribean cruise and we have reserved a room with a window. Do the windows open on cruise ships to let in fresh air??

Some cruise ship windows do open, some do not. The biggest advantage to having a window in your stateroom, is so that when you're in it, you have some indication as to whether it's day or night time. Rooms with no windowscan often times lead to oversleeping in the morning, and missing out on some of the fun! There are also rooms that include a balcony with a sliding glass door - and I assure you that these doors do open!

Take me with?

I go on the Holland America line, and none of the windows open, unless you have a balcony room, then there is a door to access the balcony. Most ships are the same way.

Oceanview windows usually don't open. If you really want fresh air, you would need to get a cabin with a balcony.

:)
nope
