People that say you must have a passport anytime you go out of the country are just plain wrong. Under some circumstances you do not need a passport. If you are going on a "loop" cruise that begins and ends in the same U.S. port, you do not need a passport...no matter where it goes. if you are going on a cruise that ends in a different port , then you need one. it is advisable to have one. See 1st site for the law and 2nd for application info. |

If you are going out of the country anytime, anywhere, you need a passport. Even on a cruise!

A cruise leaving from Seattle in February ? I don't think so.
Ships go to Seattle in around May and leave from there in September. In order to get even close to the Bahamas you would need to look at a repositioning cruise of about 20 days - going through the Panama Canal.
Holland America has a cruise like that - but not in February and not to the Bahamas.

Yes you do. if you are going anywhere out of the country, you need a passport, even canada!! i've been on two cruises to mexico, and i loved it!
