Does Carnival have cable on their ships?

I'm going on the carnival liberty and I was wondering if they have full cable because I wanted to see a show on FX one night, and if anyone knows, that would be amazing.

If I remember correctly, in the caribbean the television channels include sat feeds of CNN, CNN International, Cartoon Network, ESPN Desportes (although in English), two movie channels (not a sat feed), ABC, CBS, and NBC. There's no Fox and no FX.

A fair number of in-room channels are devoted to peddling ship excursions, showing safety information, ship information, port shopping talks, and re-airing entertainment from the nightly shows. Most ships have feeds from cams where you can see what is going on outside.

Occasionally folks have reported luck getting a ship bar to show a sporting event that wasn't on these channels (on a bar TV) . You need to work on this sort of thing early with the appropriate staff. It helps to have a lot of people who are willing to voice an interest and will show up and buy drinks. Even then, some requests can't be accomodated because of sat limitations (That's why they don't have the US version of ESPN).

Set your VCR or TIVO and watch FX when you get home. That's what they make them for...

no, but they do have satelite dish, so you should be o.k....

They get some satellite channels, but probably not FX. They only get the basic channels and then a few other channels. Be forewarned that when you are in foreign waters, some of the channels may be broadcast in a different language. I was watching Garfield in Spanish one morning.

Sorry! Hope this was helpful!

It would have to be an awful long cable, maybe they have satellite, I think they do, but I am not sure, call them and find out.

MomSezNo
They do get some satellite channels, but very few - the major networks, CNN [International version], etc. Probably not FX.

They do not have cable but they do have alot of channels.. You should be ok with FX but why don't you just tape the show. So you can enjoy every min. of your cruise and not just spend all your time in your stateroom.. ENJOY!!
