Most Carribean cruises don't go "through" the USA, because the ships can't go over land, lol.
But, I understand your problem. Suggest that since you will have to book the cruise through (maybe better to say AT) a travel agency, ask them.
I'm sure you can fly to Mexico, and leave from a port there.
If you are British, start out in the Bahama's. Last time I checked, they were still not under USA control. Is there a cruise going from the Canaries to Bahama?
I know the G. W. Bush "get tough" on terrorism policies, have kept many decent people from getting visa's for the USA. Talk about hurting business in America, because of irrational fears! |

You might be able to get a departure/arrival in Mexico or the Bahamas. By the way, get a ship that doesn't stop in the US Virgin Islands (St. Thomas) or Puerto Rico (San Juan), since they are both US. A good travel agent may be able to assist you. |
