this is Cunard's site, the ships page pick one they are the best of the best, this is the same company that owned the Titanic too if that is a fun fact for play with.
this is a luxury liner not a cruise ship and they go all over the world

Go for broke and pick Cunard's Queen Victoria. It just left on her first World Cruise. Top of the line everything.

go to vacationstogo.com and you can search out what you need. Basically, Queen Victoria or Holland America Noordam. Really, most ships dock in Portugal , but that is close... :)

Crystal Cruise Lines is a very upscale cruse ship line, it runs many thousands per person, per week. By the way, I think they have recently docked the Queen Elizabeth 2 to turn it into a hotel or something, so Im not sure it would count any more.

Why not visit Princess cruise line and look up thier World Cruise. It is for 120 days which would fit into his summer vacation and it starts at $35,000.00 per person and cruise lines base their prices on 2 persons per cabin.
Other cruise lines also offer this cruise.

They just did retire the QE2, like a week ago. The cunnard cruise line is the company that had the QE2. Now they have other beautiful ships to replace it. The other expensive cruise line is Crystal. Both Cruise lines sail from NY to France. There is also a ship called "The World". You actually by a condo onboard to live in for a year or more. There prices start at over 1 million dollars.

Queen Mary II departs from New York to Southampton (and return) from April to End October. Its a 6 day crossing and France is a short flight from Southampton airport. Book your teacher in the Queens Grill restaurant and The Grand Duplex Suite, not much change from $25,000 per person.

You could send him westbound via Australia on a 90 day world cruise,(he would reach Le Havre France 85 days later) a mere snip at $205,000 per person.

Other suggestions would be Seabourn, Silverseas.
