Does anyone know from experience which cruise is better: 5 day Grand Cayman & Cozumel or 4 day Bahamas?

get real and get a job
I have been on both and I am going again in Feb to Grand Cayman, Cozumel. I think Gra Cay is beautiful and there are many places to go to including the beach which is not always the case on some islands. Cozumel is just fun, I got drunk at Carlos and Charlies with a group of friends mid afternoon, had to be back on the ship by 3. At 3:30 we took over the pool and were the talk of the boat the rest of the vacation. I can't wait to go again.

If your going on Carnival stay away from the 4 day cruises all together. They are cheap, and you get what you pay for. I usually go 7 day. I really like the Grand Cayman/Cozumel myself. Lots to see and do.Grand Cayman is nice for snorkeling and scuba diving. Cozumel has the Mayan ruins which were very interesting. I was not crazy about the Bahamas cruise. Paradise Island is beautiful to see but Nassau was awful.

The ladies are correct, i found that the Grand Caymans' and Cozumel were a much better place to sight-see and explore. Go off on your own, rather that a guided tour, you will see more and can do just what you want! ENJOY

Hands down, Coz and Cayman. Although five days is an awfully short cruise. Coz and Cayman are both ports that are easy and safe to do on your own, as long as you leave plenty of time to get back to the ship one hour before she sails.

For lots of great info from experienced cruisers, go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Boards" at the top of the page, then go to whatever topic interests you. I'd suggest "Ports of Call" and "First Time Cruisers", as well as the board for your cruise line. Also check out "Reviews", especially "Member Reviews" to see what other passengers thought about their experience on the ship you're interested in.

I have been to Freeport in the Bahamas and with the exception of the beach I was completely disappointed. My "4 star" hotel had a hole in the ceiling just outside the elevator among other unepxected oddities. The beach itself was gorgeous but I wouldn't go back.

One of my best friends has been to both Grand Cayman and Cozumel and she said it was beautiful (went boating, snorkeling, to see waterfalls) and had a great time.

If I had the choice - I would go with the Grand Cayman adventure!
