i will be in labadee in september and i have been researching this alot! havent figured out if its worth the price or not but it looks like so much fun i am leaning more towards yes than no right now! |

I have been to Royal Caribbean's private island at Labadee, Haite twice and while I have not done the zip line yet, It looks like fun and I do plan to do it next time. What they do is first take you to a spot a little back from the beach and show you how to get in the harness and use the zip line. They actually have a practice zip that is about 50 feet long to give you the feel of it. then you board an open canopy truck that takes you up the mountain that is next to the beach. The mountain is maybe 500 ft high. Then they harness up 2 or 3 people (they have 3 or 4 parallel zip lines) and away you go. The ride is maybe 1/4 mile across one of the beaches. You land on a platform that is next to the Dragons Breath rock formation. It looks pretty cool too. |

Skip the one in Labadee and go for the zip line through the tree tops in Jamaica.
The Jamaica one is a series of 5 zip line rides (instead of just the one ride) and is even cheaper than the Labadee one.
I sailed on Liberty of the Seas last August - part of my group did the Labadee ride and were they ever jealous when the other half of our group later did the Jamaica one and got so much more for our money. |
