We are sailing on the Majesty in late March (class trip). We are wondering what do drinks generally cost these days including non alcoholic drinks such as soda or bottled water. Anyone taken a RC cruise lately? Thanks for the heads up. |

You can get a pass for a nominal amount, check the website or call for further details. Alcholic drinks are pricy about $6.00 per drink {so advice- watch out when using your card, carry small amounts of cash to keep yourself on somewhat of a budget...otherwise you could have a nasty surprise at the ned of the cruise.}...you can have an amazing time if you plan ahead and have a strategy, leaving money for the fun little bars and restaurants on shore.
Bring a large water bottle/thermos, packed in your lugguage. Then at breakfast load up on the fresh juices. Drink herbal teas since the water is boiled and therefore contains no bacteria {you can catch lots of little things like travel diarreha}. Carry this around and you will be perfectly happy.
Also use the room service, you have to pay a tip anyway so go crazy with it. Order huge amounts of herbal tea, and juice...this way you are not going to be charged.
Later when you go on shore, there are plenty of places that sell alchol. I would be cautious about drinking on shore, and strongly recommend hanging around with groups, especially in Jamacia, and don't carry a lot of money or flash it around.
Always take your own water from the ship, you have no idea what you are getting when you buy on shore, and you will really need it.
And avoid the oysters. |

Thnk I heard tea is for free. Drinks tend to be very expensive on the RCC. So if you get water for your tea and let it cool. That might be the cheapest option. |
