Thats it. So lets say it leaves Belize @ 5. What time do we have to get back on the ship at? And also it says it gets in at 8. What time would we actually get off the ship at? And one more: if we have a tour at 10 and the ship is tendered but we didn't book the tour thingy through carnival will we get off in time?
Thanks! |

Usually the cruise company wants you back on the ship 1/2 hour before it sets sail. Remember, the ship will NOT wait for you unless you are on a shore excursions that is sponsored by them. Once a ship gets into port, usually within a 1/2 hour from then, you can get off the ship. It takes that long to put up the ropes, the gang plank and get anything else in place. If your tour is at 10 and you are being tendered, give yourself at least an hour before your tour. So get on the tender boat at 9am for instance. Anybody can get off the boat at any time they want to get off as long as the ship is tied up and ready for disembarking. |

We went on this exact same cruise!!! Is it on the Carnival Legend?? That was an AMAZING trip!
They will tell you what time you need to be back because some of the islands are on "island time" but the ship will tell you what time you need to start heading back.
I would give yourself a solid hour to be safe, but if you are on a Carnival excursion, they always follow Carnival time.
Depending on if you self disembark or want to go when they call you, it could take a few hours. My boyfriend and I didn't get off until close to 11, which was good because we ate breakfast and didn't rush.
As for your last question, I would ask whomever you booked through to see what time they are expenting to return. You would not want to be left, that's for sure. Did you book through cavetubing.com?
If so, beware, we booked through them as well, hearing many positive things about them, but when we got on the tourbus, something was off and didn't feel right. We both had a weird feeling in the pit of our stomachs that made us listen to our intuition. So we made a pit stop to the gas station and took a taxi back to the ship. We regret not spending the extra money on the excursion through Carnival because people seemed to have such a fun time and you are assured Carnival will wait for you if you are running late.
Good luck!!!
You will enjoy it sooo much!
And Honduras is absolutely breathtaking.
If you haven't already booked an excursion, may I suggest going to Tabyana Beach. It is Heaven on Earth and made our trip that much more enjoyable. It was an awesome way to end our vacation.
Also, Grand Cayman we did the Hell, Turtle farm and Stingray experience and it was a great tour as well.
And lastly, when we went to Cozumel, we went to Panchos Backyard, which is quite a walk, but an employee on the ship suggested it and said it was 10 times better than Senor Frogs, and we had one margarita and were good!
We also went to Margaritaville and went on the water trampoline and it was awesome too!!
Belize is not so pretty unless you book an excursion like I mentioned, and please be careful and use your judgement if you booked through cavetubing.com.
Just speaking from experience!
Anything else you want to know, just ask!
I miss that ship! |

You should be back on board at least 30 minutes before the sail time from any port-of-call. Generally speaking, you can get off the ship about an hour after docking. Those who booked a shore excursion are generally the first off the ship when it's tendered, so you'll have to wait for the announcements telling you that you can go ashore. |

You need to remember that the times you listed above are ship times. Island time could be different. I think when we went to belize it was 2 hours behind ship time if that is the case this time then that means you will be there 6am-3pm belize time.
The tender process can take awhile, but in belize they use power boats from shore that hold a lot of people. If you have a tour that you have scheduled yourself and you need early tender talk to the pursers desk. I had done this before and they told me where to go so that I would be able to get off when those that scheduled with the cruise line. We were able to get off on one of the early tenders.
If you book with someone like www.shoretrips.com the tour company will wait for you. They also have never got anyone back late. The understand that it takes time. We got on early tender and then we had to wait about hour for the others that had booked.
If you are wanting to book with a reputable tour company contact them and thell them the ship you are going to be on and they will tell you which time to book. Hope this helps and have a great time on your cruise |
