Definately go to a beach. We went to Blackbeard's Cay the last time we were there. The water is so clear and beautiful, we were standing with the water almost up to our neck and we could look straight down and see our toes in the sand.

Of all of the places I've been in the Caribbean, the Bahamas is at the bottom of my list!

If you are going there on a cruise ship, unless you like to swim, walk off the ship look around for a few minutes and get back on the ship and enjoy the day.

I took the $20.00 ride around, way overpriced for what we got.

The Atlantis excursion, isn't worth the money either. In the old days you had full access to their facilities, however now... very limited!

If you like to swim you can do that, but that's about all I can say for the place!

It's strange, the other day someone asked where the worse place was to go, and I couldn't think of any. I've traveled the world and couldn't think of a place I didn't enjoy... it took your question to bring back this bad memory! I must say it is the only place I've been, that I truly didn't like.

Yes, take a locally run bus tour. I remember it being around $20 American dollars and it was well worth it. It takes you to an old fort, through the poor areas (which is everywhere except the immediate tourist areas) so you can see the realism of how people there live (one outside water spigot for the entire block) and takes you to Atlantis for a free walk-through of the hotel, plus a drop off at a beach if you so desire.
