Ever cruised on Holland America's Noordam? |
I've heard Royal Caribbean is the best and I WISH we could sail with them, but unfortunately their dates don't coincide with ours. We have a very specific time frame we can go and Holland America seems to be the best for our crunch time. If you've cruised with them, how was it? Thanks in advance!

What cruise are you going on? I went on the Noordam last November to the Eastern Caribbean. This is a GREAT ship with LOTS of great entertainment and very well designed. The theater is amazing, the shops are nice, they have a cool Internet cafe, plenty of bars and pretty good food. There is a pasta bar that is always open and the food there is fantastic. They have great parties, and a chocolate buffet one night. The room stewards are exceptionally good. They have a family pool and adult pool as well as a spa for the ladies. Excellent cruise, you will NOT be disappointed. |

I was on the Zuiderdam in November - I'm not sure how the ships compare size-wise. I thought the ship was beautifully decorated (I even downloaded the art tour from iTunes for free and was able to learn about the ship's artwork). The food was good, never had a bad meal.
I cruised the Caribbean, and even though HAL has a reputation for attracting older passengers, there were people there younger than me (I'm 40) as well as older.
The entertainment was pretty good - funny comedian, the song and dance numbers were actually pretty good. The guy in the piano bar was pretty funny and did a sing-along two nights.
Overall I had a great cruise, and put down money for my next HAL cruise while I was onboard. |
