We went on a Disney cruise last year and are going again this Sept. and really it was the BEST vacation we've ever had. There is so much to do and see, and its great for the parents and the kids! My 3 little ones didn't want to leave the kids clubs, and the activities are tons of fun for them. Although Disney is more expensive than many other cruiselines, I really think its worth it. Disney goes way above and beyond treating their guests well, the ships are spotlessly clean, and you can be 100% certain that your kids will have a fabulous time! Carnival is a very budget friendly line for families. It is also not too stuffy for the kids.
Some things to consider when planning a cruise...
- Age of ship. Newer ships have more amenities and are larger.
- Dates of sailing. Spring Break, summer and the holidays drive higher prices.
- We avoid sailing July-Nov due to the increasing hurricane activity
Carnival offers kid clubs with activities for specific age groups.
The 24 x 7 pizza and ice cream is a huge hit with my teen and 'tween.
There is an adults only pool area and we found deck areas away from the pools that we enjoyable for the adults.
We travel with 2-way radios while on board so our kids can enjoy their cruise and we have piece of mind.

i found a royal caribbean cruise to be cheaper than Carnival for some reason. we might go to the bahamas, for 4 nights. we've been on carnival once, we might go on it again cuz the food is awesome! have fun cruising! |
