Fat Person, Tender Boat. Also Waterslide?

don't relly know about the waterslide , but have seen some FAAAATTT people on the tender boats so don't worry

I have been on 2 cruises and I can tell you that you will see every shape and size on the cruise. Don't worry. I have seen heavy people get on and off the tenders, infact they have staff to help you get on and off the tenders, they don't want anyone's foot to slip and land in the water so they always have staff holding your hand as you walk of the tender and walk on (regardless of weight). Im not sure about the water slides, the only time i was around the pool area was when i was sitting in one of those relaxing cheers (I can't swim). Just enjoy yourself, lose as much weight as you can before your cruise, but i have to warn you that NO ONE can diet while on a cruise ! There is too much temptation, so you will not stick to a diet while on the cruise, but hey if you work extra hard trying to lose weight you can have fun gaining a tiny bit back on the cruise ! Just don't overdue it, you will start to feel sick and bloated very quickly ! Have fun and be safe !

Not trying to be rude but it really does depend on how overweight you are. The waterslide does have specific size restrictions and I have seen a person have to turn around b/c they couldn't fit. However I don't know if you are overweight or morbidly obese. If you are just overweight, as the others said--don't worry about it. Cruises are filled with regular people not supermodels.

If you cannot do normal activities due to your weight you might have trouble. If you normally cannot buy one airline seat or cannot ride a rollarcoaster you probably will not be able to use the waterslide.

As for the tenders, I have seen a morbidly obese person trying to board and they had a lot of difficulty. What they did was have them step off to the side with a couple of wheelchair individuals. It takes a little longer for the tender that is wheelchair accessible to lock into place. The cruise ship staff directed most of us to go to the rear tender and took the extra time to lock the thicker ramp into place for the disabled and the morbidly obese man and the couple individuals in wheelchairs were able to get on this way. They were told that they needed to get back to the tender at an earlier time since it would take longer to situate the ramp on the way back as well, but it was not a big deal. The majority of the people took the other tender though since it was running 2 tenders at the speed it took that one to lock the wheelchair ramp.

Even if you go on a diet before your cruise, you will quickly regain whatever weight you lost once you go on the cruise. Food is available 24/7 and I am pretty sure you won't be able to resist the food they will serve you. Don't know how old you are but the ones using the slides on our cruise were mostly children, maybe a dad or mom occasionally slid with the child if the child was too young to go alone. Most of the adults used the jacuzzis in the decks. Don't worry if you are overweight. You will have plenty of company. Ever seen a stool disappear when someone sat on it? Have fun first on your cruise and diet later.
