I think it is mental like the other guy said.

I have been on 4 cruises. This is what I learned. I started on dramamine, but it made me very sleepy. Then I switched to Bonine because it is a less drowsy formula. Then I found meclizine. Its the generic form of Bonine but it is sold in a bottle and is so much less expensive than the Bonine sold in blister packs. In my state they are required to carry it behind the pharmacy counter, but it does not require a prescription. Just ask for it. I have adjusted my dose to only a half a pill and it works really well if I take it before I board and at night before I go to sleep. It is difficult to cure motion sickness after you get it. You need to be proactive. I have heard that ginger or apples (with the peel on) help if you want a natural solution. The peel of the apples have pectin in them. Green apples seem to work best.
My sons best friend and his brother have had success with the wrist bands. They need to fit snugly and be in just the right place. The 1/2 marble shape needs to fit right between the two tendons on the inside of your wrist. Some people have great success and others feel no relief with the sea bands. Be careful of the patches, some people experience horrible side effects with them. I'd consult with a doctor before using them. Do not just "borrow" them from a friend.

People who get seasick don't get sick on cruise ships because they are so big.

use both dramamine and the wristbands
believe me after about 20 minutes of wearing the wristbands i was perfectly fine

I've only tried Dramamine, but it makes me really tired. The wristbands probably don't work that well. I would try ginger candy, soda and the patch or Dramamine. Good Luck!
I live along Lake Michigan. I'm fine on BIG boats, but nothing smaller than a Car Ferry.

I've only used dramamine but it worked well.

The patch behind the ear is the only thing that really works

Bonine. I often get motion sickness after the cruise, when I take this for a few days I'm better.

There is an excellent prescription pill that you can get. Just see your doctor. By the way, motion sickness is a legit medical issue and has to do with one's ears. It can also arise as a side effect of a few medicines used for other purposes.

The patch works really well but has side affects for some people. Read information and instructions carefully, use as directed, and wash you hands after contact.

ConorCollide
i used the wristband on my cruise and it worked just fine.

All of those work well, but it has also been proven that ginger tablets work well too. So your choice is Dramamine or the patch= drugs, or wrist band or ginger= no drugs. By the way the wristbands work, but it may be a psychological thing, but they do work, so who cares if it is all in your head.

don't get near to the sea

I have done charters for years and I have noticed it's almost ALWAYS women and girls who get seasick... and I am satisfied IT'S MENTAL.

It starts in childhood, when the little girl doesn't want to go in the car... so she develops MOTION SICKNESS to keep from having to go on car rides... and that childish, passive aggressive 'motion sickness' continues on into adulthood.

IT'S MENTAL.. it's NOT PHYSICAL... and I can cure ANYONE of their motion sickness in about an hour on the water.

I have actually seen women come to the boat WITH A SCOPE PATCH behind EACH EAR and a wrist strap on each wrist... and after a few hours on the water... OFF COMES BOTH THE PATCHES AND THE STRAPS... because IT'S MENTAL caused by trying to force their parents into not taking them on car rides when they were younger
