For those who went on a cruise, did you feel conjested?

I saw some pictures of the inside of a cruise ship and it looks really conjested.

it was a long time ago but I went on royal carribean cruise line and it was fun. If you are cosidering on going then I highly recommmend going. They are a a blast! they had plenty of room and it was not to crowed if at all. If it was crowed it was like at dinner time on an special themed night (ie: italian night).

i would say no i have been on 2 cruises the first time i stayed on a balcony the 2nd just with a window and both times i was fine.
i find that you dont spend much time in the room anyway only to sleep..... it depends weather or not your going ashore everyday and when your at sea if your doing activies or weather you want to have your own space....
i would defiantly recommend a window though..... it makes a big difference, you can see where you are and what time of day it is... it will make you feel less conjested.

Only if you go on behemoth cruise ships that carry thousands of passengers.

There are smaller lines that are very luxurious, with lots of elbow room...like Seabourn. My personal favorite. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a big ship; no rock climbing wall, tennis courts, boxing rings, but it has service, style and elegance. Oh, and only 208 passengers max. Never, ever a crowd, anywhere.

no, for me , it was fine
i had all the room i needed. I had alot of fun.

We just went on Liberty of the Seas about a month ago, and it was enormous! I think there were about 5000 people on board, but you would have never known it.

Plus, the rooms were very spacious. We never felt crowded at all.

The cruise ship I went on was one of the smallest and there was plenty of room for everyone! There where over 2500 people on the boat!

well i have been on 3 cruises and i have never conjested as the ships are soo big. Obviously it depends on the cruise ships and liner you go with but i wouldnt worry if i was you as a cruise is brilliant and you would forget about it if it did happen when you are on the ship

baby cayden is here
well if there are more than 2 in the room it might get a little congested

Nope most cruise ships are big and there's a lot of space for everyone.

I was on a cruise in August!

I've been on a number of cruises and depending on when and where you are on the ship it can feel like everyone went home or Times Square on New Year's Eve. You have to remember that the big boats have over 3,000 passengers and 1,000 crew so there are a lot of people on the ship, but if you get up early in the morning or stay on board while in port you will wonder where everyone is. I like to get up early and take a stroll on deck because no one will be up except crew. (This is usually just prior to 7AM) However during the evening at the casino, bars and hallways around them or on the Lido deck in the afternoon while at sea you can be extremely crowded. All I can say is my wife hates crowds but for some reason it did not bother her while on the cruise ship. So just go and have a good time.

If so it didn't bother me. It seemed to have plenty of space for everyone.

no I really didn't feel like that at all. we actually had a marvelous time.

No, the cruise ship I was on was pretty big so there's a lot of room.

No the ship is so big and spread out that you can walk around without bumping into a lot of people. For me the only times I noticed a lot of people were during meal times in the buffet area, at shore waiting to take tenders back to the ship, and at the evening shows.

Being on a cruise is fun but you can get conjested........it makes all the differance with a balcanie you dont feel so trapped and you dont feel conjested at all . But make sure you dont open the door to your room and the balcanie door at the same time. It creats a suckion and all papers by the balcanie door get sucked out and get in the ocean. Hope i helped!!

I had sea legs, although I hadn't ever been on a boat prior to then. My husband however was very nauseous and heavy headed. There are patches that you can get from a pharmacist that made that go away.

It depends on a number of factors. When I went on my first cruise, my room was towards the bottom level. I shared the room with another perosn and it was cramped.

The second time, I was in a bigger ship and bigger room. There were more people in the room, but it was a little better.

There is so much to do on a cruise ship so I really did not spend time in my room basically just to sleep, bathe and change clothes.

My advice is do not get an interior room because you would be too conjested opt for a stateroom for more room. Hope this helps.

I have been on many cruises, usually 2 or 3 a year lately and TRUE there are times and places when they can appear crowded. And then there are other times when it is absolutely not congested.

For example, when you first arrive at the port to check in, and depending on when you get there, there can be lines of people waiting to check in, just like any busy hotel. Then when you first board the ship everyone knows there is a lunch buffet waiting so that place can be crowded for a good portion of the afternoon. But then later it not crowded at all.

Then when there are shows people may congregate in front of the doors waiting for them to open. But then 10 minutes later you can walk right in with no line or wait. Same with the main dining room. On the first day and on "at sea" days there are generally people waiting for the doors to open. But then 10 minutes later there is no line. When you go to the deck where the pools and hot tubs are located and if you want to be right next to them (a few steps away) you will be in a crowd of people. But if you just want a place with quiet so you can read in a lounge chair up on deck, that is available also.

Most cruise ships have a small selection of shops on board selling jewelry, clothing, trinkets, liquor, etc. These are only open when the ship is not in port and these places can get crowded at certain time, especially when the ship announces special sales, like 50% off.

Most cabins on cruise ships are about 200 sq feet or less, unless you book a suite. So that is about the size of a 9 ft by 12 ft bedroom. So two people in that room is not really crowded, especially if you have a balcony cabin which adds some more usable space. But for 4 people that IS crowded. But, several cruise line have family cabin that are larger than normal and so if you are a family traveling you can pay for and get more space.

The only other time when it is crowded is on the day that you get off the ship. Everyone has packed and sent their bags to be offloaded and they must sit in the bars, lounges, and other places to wait to get off the ship. At this point almost all of the other places that they could spread out to, like the gym, pools, restaurants and bars, are all closed and being cleaned for the next sail.

The bottom line is that there are times and places when it is crowded but then there are plenty of other times when you can find places on ship to be by yourself or certainly not be crowded at all. Last November we went on the new Royal Caribbean mega ship, Freedom of the Seas, which hold up to 4,000 passengers, and it was not crowded at all.

I went on one.. a carnival cruise... and I felt jammed in with a bunch of smokers... the air was so bad, I had to sleep in a deck chair out on deck... and even THEN the smokers would come out and walk around the deck. It was one of the WORST experiences I have EVER HAD and I would never go on a Cruise again
