The free cruise is a carrot to get your money. When you phone the free number you will be persuaded to upgrade your cabin at an extra cost and they will try to persuade you to purchase a holiday at the Ramada Plaza Resort Hotel (which is time share and nothing what ever to do with the Ramada chain of hotels)
There is a link to Ripoff Reports which I advise you to have a good look at before you go any further. Many of the reports are recent and well worth reading before you commit.

It's a scam in a way. Yes you do get a free cruise if you want to call it that. The ship is very old, dirty with spots on the linens, dusty everything, bad food, etc. The minute you get on board, they push alcohol. They push it heavy throughout the whole cruise. If you want to be turned off for the rest of your life on cruising, then go ahead. But if you want to learn more and see the truth, then go to cruise critic and find out what the passengers think of the imperial majesty.

I do not think it is a scam. The ship is very old and cruises are inexensive on it. Here is a link for their site. I hope it helps.

It's an "older" classic ship, not comparable to the huge cruise ships of carnival, royal carribean companies. Some complain of dirt and poor food. Others on cruisecritic.com have enjoyed the feeling of cruising on an older classic ship. They sail 2 day cruises to bahama's.

I agree with the other answers about checking out cruisecritic.com and make your choice from there. Always use these sites with an open mind tho cause some people complain just to complain. My comment tho is on your passport, and paying the 59.00. Why not just go and get your passport I think it is right around 100.00 and then you will have it for the next 10 years. I have called myself on the IM and there are port charges and taxes I think. I called cause they had a deal sail now and you get a year of free cruises. But you have to come up with the taxes and port fee's. Unless things have changed. There are some really nice ships now offering 3-4 day market you should consider. I just got back from NCL SKy and it was really nice. 3 islands on the 4 night sailing. // I just read Lew post about checking out ripoff reports. OMG don't go on IM what so ever. You can get a beautiful cruise with any of the major lines without these scam tactics. I had no Idea. AVOID IMPERIAL MAJESTY.
