Going on a Cruise?

I am going on a Royal Caribbean Cruise in a few days, I will be on Enchantment of the Seas. I would greatly appreciate it if you can give me all the information about cruising. What to pack? What to do? What to wear? And also, what stuff is on the ship for a 14 year old teenager to do.

I've never been on the Enchantment, but I've been on many of the other Royal Caribbean ships. Theres such a huge amount of things to learn about going on a cruise.

what to pack/wear?

Depending on how many days your cruise is, you will need at least one formal outfit. Usually 7 day cruises and less have one formal night, and anything 8 and above have 2 formal nights. You will need either one or two formal outfits. For dinner, they aren't very strict, but I think that it's respectful to dress somehwta nice, not sloppy for dinner everynight. There's casual and semi- formal nights but they really don't make a difference. Something for the non formal nights doesn't have to be fancy at all, just something nice. For clothes not including dinner, definitely cool clothing, unless you're going to alaska or something obviously :) there's no like dress code or anything for during the day, just wear whatever you want around the pool, ship, and buffet. Definitely bring a pair of sneakers for the rockwall or the running track or whatever you plan on doing around the ship. If you want to go iceskating, make sure you bring long socks. You don't need your own iceskates and there is also an inline skating which you also don't need your own skates. The ice skates and skates are also free.

There is shampoo and soap in your cabin. the shampoo is no brand so if you'd prefer something else then you would want to bring your own. towels are in the room as well and you could always ask your stateroom attendent for more if need be. There's a hairdryer in your room, and possibly an alarm clock. Some ships have them and some don't. At the very least, there would be a phone in your stateroom with the time on it. If you will want an alarm clock, you may be better off bringing one, just in case. Make sure you have a camera and some cash for things that don't accept your room key. Your room key acts as an on board credit card so you can charge anything throughout the ship on there. I believe that you can also put your tips on your card, but just in case I would say bring cash as well. Also for the ports of call, cash would be good.

What to do?

What not to do? There's a TON of different things to do on the ship for all ages! There's a rockwall, ice skating rink, inline skating, a teen hangout, a game room, the pools, bungee trampolines, lounges, a fitness center, a promenade with a ton of stuff in it and so much more!!

If you have any further questions, feel free to send me a message, I'd be more than glad to help!

Hope this helps!!! =)

We loved RCC. We were on the Adventure of the Seas. Pack plenty of bathing suits and cool clothes. Don't forget to pack a fancy outfit if going to the dress up dinners. There is plenty to do. My wife and I actually preferred the ship to the actual stops. There is plenty to do on the ship. There's miniature golf, rock wall climbing, basketball, swimming, and arcades. For the evening, there are ice skating shows (I believe your boat has a rink), parades, the midnight buffet with the crazy ice sculptures. Basically it is a good time even with your parents.

I went on Enchantment of the Seas when I was 10. It had just been refurbished. It is one of Royal Caribbean's smaller ships, so there won't be as much to do, but there is still plenty of activities going on. I went on it to Canada/New England, but the cruise I went on was the last one up there and it was moving down to the Caribbean. It is a really nice ship. My advice is to have fun. You're on vacation.

Your best bet to get this information is to go to the RC website and click on the Enchantment of the Seas for a description. It is a great ship. Cruised on it a few years ago. This time of year you will find others your age to hang out with. There are the pools, the gym, the disco, ice cream and pizza parlors and more. Have fun.
