Going on a Disney Cruise, looking for things to do in Nassau?

I took the 4 night Disney cruise that went there as well. e took a horse and buggy ride all around the town, and went to the market and did a bunch of shopping. It is very inexpensive so if you like to shop you'll have a blast.

Don't pay for the very expensive excursions the cruise offers!!

At Nassau you can do a lot of shopping, the main street has many jewelry, souvenirs and liquor stores. On the Nassau side there is nothing much to see.

Take a water taxi to Paradise Island where the Atlantis hotel is located. Beautiful hotel, very impressive. They have a casino, 2 aquariums, beaches and many pools. You have to pay to see the aquariums. I would recommend you spend your whole day here, pay for the aquariums and pools. There is one water slide that goes underwater and you have sharks around you, very cool!

You will have a lot of fun!

When your ship is docked at the Nassau quay, straight across from the ship is a liquor store with really good prices. You can get a bottle of Gran Marnier for about $25. There is no US tax of $32/gallon on alcohol. You can bring in about a gallon of liquor duty-free. The store will deliver it to the ship for you, and the crew will put it in secure storage and return it to you when you leave the ship.

This was a high-light of our visit to Nassau. When our Grand Mariner is all gone, we are off for Nassau again.

I took that cruise and when we arrived in Nassau, we walked through the straw market and then took a water taxi over to Paradise Island to explore the Atlantis Hotel. it's a beautiful place with a huge, indoor aquarium. There is also a casino there. If you want, you can go to the beach, it's a public one right behind the hotel. You can also pay about 25$ [ that's what it was a couple of years ago ] to use their facilities such as their water slides, beach, pools, etc.

Personally I would go to Atlantis. It is really fun and there is great food, shopping, and everything else you would need. And the best thing is that is is really close to the port.

If you choose not to do the ship excursions, there is a tourist info near Rawson square. they can give you maps, and other information.
there is a straw market, some go and do a jeep tour around the island, snorkeling,sailing.
