not on board..but in the caribbean the legal drinking age is 16.
if you go on (off ship) excursions..u are allowed to drink

Wooosh
If you are going Carnival, then there is a club called O2. Ages 15-17 but it attracts more of the older teens . It is sooooo much fun!

I met the hottest guy, and we still keep in touch!

Okay, I'm not your mom (if I was, I'd tell you not to drink:-). I just came back from a cruise with my fam, and I have a 17 year old son. He was able to drink on the cruise, but only because his 22 yo sister and 19 yo brother were with him (they bought him a drink). The cruise ships are pretty strict about carding you, not just for drinks, but for things like getting into the "disco", etc. Good news (for you) is that if you are going to Mexico you'll be able to drink like a fish (they could care less).

Just be safe and smart about it. The last thing you want is to get drunk in Mexico and either get left because you missed the ship, or worse (kidnapped, arrested) because you were too drunk to take care of yourself.

Have an great time - cruises are awesome!

no proably not cuz all of the areas where you can drink on the cruise that i went on you had to be 21 to get in.

If you are underage, you won't be able to purchase drinks, as payment is made with your cabin card and this will have a hole punched in it which shows that you are a minor. Maybe you will meet some guys a bit older than you and they can buy your drinks. I was on a cruise with my daughter earlier this year and I bought her drinks, but the staff thought she was 21. I didn't get into trouble. The staff can get into trouble if they serve you alcohol and we wouldn't want that. Enjoy your cruise. They are great fun and we are going again in 6 months time.

Unfortunately, cruise lines are very strict about drinking age, which is 21. Your best bet is to go to the bar while in port. Also, you might get by with having a few at the Captain's Gala. Some people bring their Dasani bottle back on board full of vodka from some island. You can then mix it with lemonade from the Lido Deck restaurant.
