I went to Alaska the same time you are going and I found that bringing some silk long underwear, plus knit hat and gloves, plus a light weight jacket was perfect. If you have never worn silk long underwear, it is amazing. I got mine at L.L.Bean. Anyways it is small so does not take up hardly any room as well as the hat and gloves. Leave your shorts and sandals at home, but bring long pants, t shirts, both long and short sleeves and of course your dressy clothes. One day while we were in Denali(we did a cruise/tour), it did snow lightly. Another tour we did, the hat and gloves came in handy. Also when you go to the glaciers, it can be quite cool. Finally Ketchican often rains, so bring an umbrella or make your jacket water Resistance. This was my favorite cruise of all time and I have been on 8, all with Princess cruises. Enjoy your cruise.

I went on June 4, which isn't too much later than May 25 and Alaska is pretty mild compared to what you hear. You do need to take a jacket and long pants. Bring clothes for autumn-time. It's about 55-60 degrees average. One day it got up to 75. But it rains a lot so it might feel colder. So pack for summer and fall weather.

I have been on 23 cruises to Alaska and never wore anything more than a T-Shirt & Jeans Jacket. Prefer to go in May. As for the temps people keep saying it rains alot, well in over 160 days here I have only seen it rain once for acouple of hours. Keeping in mind it always alittle cooler on or near the water the temps average40 to 60 during the day and 30 to 45 at night. An Amazing cruise northbound or southbound.
ENJOY.

Depends on which cruise you are taking.
If you are taking the inland passage it will be wet and cool (30f to 50f). We took lightweight water proof hooded jackets with knit watch caps(stocking caps). Jeans and flannel shirts or sweat shirts and sweaters.
Layer up, we picked up small stuff sacks to put our water proof jackets in so that we could attached them to a small day pack with bungie cords. That way when we took the White Pass Railroad trip in Skagway ( highly recommended) we could start out without a jacket then put them on as we went up into the pass and into the snow.

Oh, you are going to be doing a lot of walking on shore tours, we wore good leather hiking boots. The day pack was a savior, replaced a camera bag, purse and provided a place to carry the bagged jackets.

IM me if you have any questions.

It should be mild as usual at that time. (Last week we had snow!) Just bring a nice rain jacket as that is almost certain.

Do not bring very heavy clothing, just enough to bundle up well.

If you are very lucky you might enjoy the best sunshine during your time of visit.

Happy Cruising!!
