Well, I maybe different from the rest but, hands down 1000% yes. First off you see scenery from the minute you leave the dock until you tie back up. If you Love Nature both Scenery & Wildlife yes. If you prefer a cruise where you do not spend a day or more looking at nothing but water yes.
As for the money if you check it does not cost anymore to cruise there than any place else. The best way to really see Alaska is a cruisetour where you spend at least 4 days on a landtour. I have been 23 times with 2 more booked for this year & 4 already paid for next year. You meet people from all over the world & both on the ship & land the people are the nicest anyplace. Too many GREAT things to say about Alaska but, I feel that everyone should at least take 1 cruise there.
ENJOY.

On trip i would spend my money on somewhere else, like london or puerto rico but to live it's beautiful woodsy and the perfect place to raise a family

I live here. Came up with the military in 1982 and liked it so much I stayed.
There is lots to see and do........ you certainly don't see it all while on a cruise ship or being in a shuttle bus! lol. Some people come for the nature, others to wander the open areas and do a little prospecting, others just to camp and enjoy the quiet. World class fishing and hunting - when you fish in Alaska you come home with fish..... you don't just get the line wet. When you hunt - you almost always come home with something...... not just a walk in the woods.
Nice place!

Yes, every penny!

I have been on 8 cruises including Europe, Caribbean, panama canal, etc. My favorite cruise was to Alaska as it was so different from the rest. It was more about nature then seeing big cities. I find nature far more beautiful then man made structures. In fact, I am planning to doing an Alaskan cruise again, just a different one then the first.
