Has anyone ever been to spain, italy or france? whats it like?

WE went on a MEditerranian cruise out of Barcelona, SPain last year. We flew to MAdrid for a couple days first and then took the train to Barcelona. Our cruise went to Nice, France; Monaco; Florence/Piza, Italy; Pompei,Italy; Santorini, Greece; Atrhens, Greece; Ephesus, Turkey; Mykonos, Greece; Rome, Italy; and then back to Barcelona.

The cruise was great and we enjoyed it. It is not a relaxing cruise because each day we did tours which took most of the day to see sights like The Vatican and Colesseum in Rome, the Leaning Tower of Piza in Piza, the Acropolis in Greece, and the Biblical city of Ephisus in Turkey. I loved all of these. But I did not particularly care for Nice or Monaco. They were OK, but a lot of hassle to see stuff. In fact, expect big crowds everywhere.

Cruising on the Med is great, nice weather and flat seas.

I loved Spain...The people, the history, the cities. Went to Madrid, Segovia, Salamanca, Avila, and Toledo.

You can expect wonderful people who will treat you with great respect if you can speak some Spanish. They will help you learn some if you don't.

I would go back in a heartbeat.

They are all awesome on all counts: people, food, history, culture, scenery. You want to go between May and October, skipping August (the month most euros take their 4-week vacation). I found the italians and spanish quicker to become friendly than the french but over time more reserved than the french.

yes, spain is beautiful. watch out for pickpockets. two old people will come up to you and ask you somequestions and grap your walet or purse or the same if they walk into you.crystile clear water nude beaches and the sights are breath taking. italys awsom best wine in the world. citys are very clean. but its exspensive and they have fireworks everywhere. oprahs are cheap to go to and the food is fresh and great . but they still have mcdonalds. france is like going back in time coble stone walkways. beautiful sights, and you must pay to use the bathroom. pick up a travel book and find the best rates for food and hotels also know its cheeper to stand when your eating or drinking then siting down.

it depends on witch citys you are going to visit, barcelona is a beutifull city, but i think you are going to have a great time wherever you go (the food is great in all 3 countries)

no, but I wanna go to all of them! Especially the mediterranean areas.....oh and Greece too.

spain and france are fun places to visit and italy has a lot of history. Barcelona and Paris are my favorite cities in Europe.
