Has anyone on here been on a Norwegian Cruise Line Cruise?

First, I will give you my opinion. I really liked Norwegian Cruise Line. I went on the Norwegian Dawn.. and I actually heard a bunch of bad things about NCL before I went on it but I had a lot of fun.

I think whether you will consider it a good cruise line depends on 3 things:
1. The ship you are going on.... they have newer ships and older ships and depending on which one you are on can mean a world of difference in food quality, how clean it is, activities, etc.
2. NCL has a freestyle dinning experience meaning you can eat whenever you want... which is unlike most other cruise lines who give you a set time to eat. If you don't mind having to make reservations to eat and love eating a different time each day, you will like the NCL dinning experience. If that doesn't sound good to you, you may be pissed off about that...
3. Lastly, go on your cruise assuming it will be good because if you think it may be bad you will search out things that aren't perfect!

I have been on 2 NCL cruises and had a great time on both. I have also cruised with Princess, RCL and Ocean Village and NCL is as good as any of them.
Have a look at the forum boards at http://www.cruisecritic.com for other opinions on NCL. There are cruisers on the forum, who have cruised a lot with NCL and who will answer any questions about your ship, cabin, entertainment, where to go when in port etc:

It really depends on your taste. I have been on Royal Caribbean, Princess, Disney and NCL. NCL was my least favorite cruise line. I did not enjoy the free-style dining, and found the food to be quite plain. The waiters and general waitstaff in the dining rooms were also alittle on the rude side.
Our favorite line is Royal Caribbean and Princess.
If this is your first cruise and you have nothing to compare it too - you will probably enjoy it.

UGH... I have been on Royal C, NCL, and Carnival.
Pick of the bunch would be Royal C. I really, really, really... did I say REALLY dislike NCL. Freestyle dining... sure as long as you like buffet. Otherwise, you pay extra. Something to drink... no problem... BRING A BIG FAT WALLET for those SEA days.
Sorry....stay away is my advice.

Royal has gone down considerably in my opinion
