I am 27. I went on the Carnival Imagination last summer. I'd say the majority of the passengers were between 18-40. I had an awesome time! Lots of fun stuff going on all the time. Carnival ships really are the fun ships.

Check out the pics from my cruise to give you an idea of what it was like.

We have been sailing Carnival since 1989...seen the ship technology change alot over the years.

Keep in mind, Carnival attracts a broad group of guests from families, singles (young and mature) plus seniors. You can never tell what mix you will have but your are more likely to see more families w/young kids during the summer months when school is out. All of the ships will have the same mix of guests...

The itinerary is a big part of selecting a cruise ship. Which ports of call interest you. Also, the departure port can be a factor. Are you limited to a certain departure port. Length of the trip is also a factor...Carnival uses the older, smaller ships for the 3, 4 and 5 day runs.

The larger ships, Conquest class and above provide a better ride than the smaller Fantasy class. Although Carnival is investing in upgrading the Fantasy class with new pool areas.

Carnival has a good on-line booking tool that helps you through looking at the options.

any carnival ship is a good cruise.

carnival is the only line we wil travel mainly because we do not like the look or RCCL, and well, we are too old for Disney, and after seeing the mouse 5 days a week, we don't want to see him on our vacations.

there are many activitites on carnival. However, if you are into ice skating, wave pools, and rock walls, go to RCCL. you wont find those expensive things on carnival.

one reason carnival is a cheaper cruise line.

Any Carnival Cruise is a PARTY SHIP. You will have a BLAST. Be careful if you are alone though. I'm just super parnaoid everywhere I go, so I always want to tell everyone that.

You will have an itenarary (misspelled) that will tell you all the activities of the day. You will meet people at all your meals and on board. You'll have so much fun. And we met some of the crew and hung out with them!! Their stories are UNREAL.

Anyway, ANY Carnival line will be great.

I hate to put websites on my answers, but there's one called cruisecritic.com that tells all about the different ships, news, etc.

HAVE FUN!

Carnival Cruise Lines' ships are called the "Fun Ships", and the action onboard any of the Carnival cruise ships is non-stop and full of high-spirited active fun. Carnival is the largest and most successful cruise line afloat, and the lifestyle is much like you would find in Las Vegas -- glitzy and fast-paced. Carnival markets its ships to the average person, and does not promise a luxury cruise experience. The quality of the cabins, cuisine, and entertainment is of good value for the price.

Enjoy your time :)

-Michael
