We have been on 5 cruises and cruising is our vacation of choice!

You do have to be smart about when you go and selecting your ship.

Hurricane season generally runs from June to November. August and Sept are the rainy months in Mexico.

New ships are of course better, Recommend a 110 ton vessel for best ride.

Yes, there are a ton of people. But more people, better party!

No, a cruise is not "all-inclusive" per se. There are added expenses for drinks, tips, shore excursions. But it is much better than pulling out your wallet everytime you want to eat or see entertainment.

Check out www.vacationstogo.com for more details on each cruise line and ship.

Each cruise line as a general clientle. Disney caters to familes with young children, Carnival is for young folks and families, Royal Caribbean is a bit more upscale than Carnival, other lines cater to the older crowd.

We like Carnival because it is more relaxed that the other lines we have sailed. Our pre-teen and teen daughter love sailing Carnival.

I went on the Royal Carribean cruise to the bahams. It was very fun, i went with my friend and her family. Royal Carribean had their own island where you could snorkle, jet ski, shop, go to the water park. Then we went to nassau, there you can shop and i went to swim with the dolphins. it was a nice quick cruise for memorial day weekend.

check out all inclusive hotels over a cruise. my exp on cruises windy lots of lines and waiting hidden costs perverted workers.

worst 'holiday' of my life!!! Everything that could go wrong...did!!! The captain looked like the man in Titanic then he had to be lifted by helicopter coz he had a heart atack,i got food poisoning,2 days in sick bay with mal de mer, rained and was stormy for 10 out of 14 days(this was in august). There was only 1 shop!!! 'entertainment' was defi catered towards geriatrics, pool was empty. Would never go back, personally.

I have been on three so far. There is always something to do. Some ships are better than others. The food is always excellent.

At 24 I went on Disney Cruise for my honeymoon and it was amazing! After reading cruise reviews I think that customer service is the most important thing when stuck at sea and everything was amazing! All I can say is do your research before booking, its not like a hotel where after one bad night you can check out.

In the UK. Been on 16 cruises ranging from 15 guest converted 300 ton trawler to 100,000 ton 2500 people super liner.

Alaska, Galapagos, Antarctica (twice - it's that good!), Baltic, Mediterranean, Norwgian fjords, Panama Canal, Eastern Med. inc. Suez canal, Hawaii, Tranastlantic, Spitzbergan, Greenland, Indian islands.

Only bad one, NCL around Hawaii.
Got £1000 compensation from them it was that bad!

I have been on 11 cruises and I am cruising again this August. I love the ships. Think of it as a nice hotel that goes places. You can eat as much as you want of whatever you choose, whenever you want to. There is always something to do on board. The crew is normally very professional and friendly. I have never had a bad experiance on any cruise that I have been on.

Ginger
Absolutely amazing, would recommend it to anyone. I guess it depends where you go but with all the stops its like 5 holidays in one....

ltirrell01
I have been on a few cruises, loved every one! If you are comparing to a all inclusive vacation or a hotel only, there a couple of pricing concerns to address. If you drink ANYTHING, soda, alcoholic beverages, etc, you will have to pay extra for all of that. Also, shore excursions are very expensive through a cruise line, but there are perks th booking with them, like the ship won't leave if you are late returning on a cruise line booked excursion, whereas if you are out on your own, they will leave without you! If you are happy with the buffet and main dining room food, you will be happy, but if you want to try any of the specialty dining rooms, you will pay extra for that too! A cruise is not always an all-inclusive trip, there are many other costs. An all-inclusive resort usually includes all food, all drinks, and activities.
